There was no change.
Setting the renderBaseTag to false on Shell and setting
parseWidgets to false has no impact.
The alert at onload (your code that I added to the page)
doesn't happen nor do I get the post during onclick of the checkbox.
Once again, thanks for your help. I need to make a
decision tomorrow as to whether to use Tacos4, based on the 10 July source
snapshot.

Also, you should probably set parseWidgets to false as well. (It's currently true in your template)
