This shouldn't be a problem. If you just use standard tacos ajax mechanisms for updating certain divs within a page, then you can just have the table render only when some condition is met, and have your link listener set that condition. Then the table component will render itself but the whole page won't update. It's been a long time since I tried this with the grid component, but it worked at one point. I'm in the middle of a release this week and next, or I'd offer more advice (I wrote the grid component), but I'll do my best to answer any questions you may have.
