But if you take another look at http://tacos.sourceforge.net/components/Autocompleter.html you'll find the afterUpdateElement parameter... It can call a js function of yours when user selects a value. Then check out the js docs from http://wiki.script.aculo.us/scriptaculous/show/Ajax.Autocompleter BTW, our afterUpdateElement parameter is deprecated...
