You probably need to include the datepicker's css.
This is a manual process...
Take a look at
http://opencomponentry.com:8080/tacos/forms/FormEffectsExample.html

It includes

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" 
href="/tacos/css/jscalendar/skins/aqua/theme.css"/>

That css and related resources are bundled in the tacos-lib.zip
