I dont really know how many ppl use tacos, but it's surely not dead... See

In my mind, the only thing missing for a proper 4.1.2 release is full
dojo1.2.x upgrade - apart from that, current (new) offerings include:

- complete substitution of dojo0.4.3 with jquery using tacos-jquery (
http://tacos.sourceforge.net/tacos4.1/tacos-jquery/index.html)
- @UriTemplate annotation for rest-style urls (
http://tacos.sourceforge.net/tacos4.1/tacos-annotations/rest.html )
- @Cached annotation (
http://tacos.sourceforge.net/tacos4.1/tacos-annotations/index.html )

I have updates for most of the docs, but recent SF changes have made
it a pain to upload docs, so i'll try that during the weekend
