Hi all, Cool 10 downloads from my last update :) I have now added in the Osmarender map features that are listed in the 'osmarender_standard' file, its neet to see what map features that this rendering uses. .. and i see that some features were added in that arn't on the wiki :) lol. But what's nice is that the features are categorized and grouped, where more than 1 tag is used to render the same thing.
I have also added in the OSM Wiki Map Features page, (that mega chart) and listed all of the wiki pages that has it's own 'Key page' and listed the 'definition' and 'description' of them where available. ... as you can see, im still fine-tuning it, as its now a game of seek-and-find on the wiki. .. as it's all their, it's just hidden sometimes behind wiki pages that need improvement. Basically, im just taking the Wiki-features at face value, and organizing it the same way that i have already done for the TIGER/CanVec/GeoScience Austrailia/Linz/Coraine/Ordnance Survay/ Garmin map catelogues, and list what all is available. (sorting by key/value pair) So now i think that once this is finalized, i can include all of the catelogues into the same chart and use the GoogleDocs chart to list it all, then everyone can take a look at it, and begin to fill in the blanks and extrapolate what changes need to be made and which tags line up better. As it's really only when you can see the entire map feature catelogue at once, that you can take an educated guess of what features to use. :) http://www.mediafire.com/file/s8dt7138n76bsut/Schematroll_2_01_27_sept_2010.zip Cheers, Sam P.S. The reason that im publicly sharing this, is to that others can go ahead and use it at will (no restrictions) :-) And if anyone has something better that they think can be used, feel free to share, as it will just speed up the process, as i do have other things that need to be done :) Twitter: @Acrosscanada Blogs: http://acrosscanadatrails.posterous.com/ http://Acrosscanadatrails.blogspot.com Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/sam.vekemans Skype: samvekemans IRC: irc://irc.oftc.net #osm-ca Canadian OSM channel (an open chat room) @Acrosscanadatrails _______________________________________________ Tagging mailing list [email protected] http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/tagging
