I'm translating a message from talk-fr: After having added the emergency escape lanes in France (or at least a good part of them) on this page:
http://routes.wikia.com/wiki/Utilisateur:Sylvain_59/test4 which is my user page, I wanted to reuse this information and add to openstreetmap. I noticed that some of those lanes were tagged: highway = escape_lane. Wouldn't it be better to use highway = service and service=escape_lane In order to have these ways appear on Mapnik and Osmarender ?
