Yes, most "leather shops" in the USA sell a variety of leather products, and often luggage, not all of which will be leather. On 2 February 2014 23:34, Martin Koppenhoefer <[email protected]> wrote:2014-02-01 Matthijs Melissen <[email protected]>:That's a good point. How would you distinguish between a bag shop and a leather shop?I'd use bag shop if they only or mostly sold bags and leather shop if other items like belts, gloves, purses were sold as well. What about a shop like this? http://www.lesgrandsboulevards.fr/img/enseignes/P102036412-05-28.JPG They sell mainly bags, both leather and non-leather, but also sell some wallets (on the counter) and belts (next to the counter). How would you tag this shop? Shops like this are fairly common in France and Luxembourg, and are referred to as 'maroquinerie'. Technically the word only refers to leather products, but the shops normally sell also travel bags made out of different fabrics. Does this type of shop exist outside of the French-speaking countries? And do other countries have a specific term for it? -- Matthijs _______________________________________________ Tagging mailing list [email protected] https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/tagging
