+1, it is not wrong as long as there aren't any crossing / overlapping objects that have a different layer in OSM (e.g. no layer tag in OSM = implicit layer=0) but are physically or conceptually on the same layer in reality. Basically you'd have to put all these other objects as well to layer=-1, which in turn would most probably require you to put even more objects on layer=-1 and so on. cheers, Martin
