Just a short notice: the latest version of the style "Lane and road attributes" supports the new JOSM database to automatically determine the traffic side. To enable this you must set the style color "boolean.right.hand.traffic" to gray (any gray will do, just not black or white), which is now also the default.
If you want to override the automatic detection, set the color either to black (left-hand-traffic) or white (right-hand-traffic). You will need the latest JOSM version (7287) and may need to clean the JOSM cache or wait for a few days. Best regards, Martin
