Hi Gentlemen, Well, I hope you'll be fully satisfied with the last edition of the power transmission proposal. http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Proposed_features/Power_transmission_refinement#overhead_power.3Dline
Instead of introducing a brand new line:type key, I've extended the definition of line=* originally introduced by power substation refinement. Several values come with this key to describe what mappers see. Voltage is recommended and render engines can get rid of it. It's now possible to describe lines usefulness better than a simple power=minor_line for small distribution lines. Thus : power=minor_line => power=line + line=minor_distribution + voltage=* power=minor_cable => power=cable + cable=minor_distribution + voltage=* line=* and cable=* values are fully consistent with substation=* values and IEC definitions. minor_distribution value comes in both key just because substation=minor_distribution exists and that's a good point compared to the only two levels given by IEC. I don't see a better way to make such things right. Thanks in advance for any feedbacks. Cheers. *François Lacombe* francois dot lacombe At telecom-bretagne dot eu http://www.infos-reseaux.com 2014-07-09 22:50 GMT+02:00 François Lacombe < [email protected]>: > If really you insist to have an indication for "minor", we can introduce > line:type=minor/major but I definitely recommend to get this out of the > primary tag. > > Ok ? > > > *François Lacombe* > > francois dot lacombe At telecom-bretagne dot eu > http://www.infos-reseaux.com > >
