When you look at the discussion page for museum [1], you might notice that first there was "subject", but most museum themes are now mapped with museum=xxx
Anyway, I would not introduce a new toplevel tag for this, but add key-value pairs to further specify museum. I'm not sure about leisure=park or recreation_ground. The wiki page [2] on leisure=recreation_ground, says that it might be better to replace it with landuse=recreation_ground. The description of that [3] is not really appropriate for your purpose IMHO. Maybe just tourism=attraction ? regards m [1] http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Talk:Tag:tourism%3Dmuseum [2] http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag%3Aleisure%3Drecreation_ground [3] http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:landuse%3Drecreation_ground On Sat, Dec 27, 2014 at 1:02 PM, Johannes <[email protected]> wrote: > Hello, today I searched for dinosaur parks in my surrounding. > > These parks seems to have a current tagging like > leisure=park or leisure=recreation_ground > name=Dinopark X > > also dinosaur musuems also just seem to have > tourism=museum and a name tag. > > So its impossible to query them without regexp. > > Do you think a new tag like > park=dinosaur > or > leisure=dinosaur_park > is a good idea? > > Or maybe a more general tagging scheme like > subject=dinosaur > could be connected to tourism=museum or leisure=park. > And its a general container for other needs. > > > What is your meaning? > Regards Johannes > > > > > > > > _______________________________________________ > Tagging mailing list > [email protected] > https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/tagging > >
