a watch is small and you have it on your wrist or in your pocket, a clock
is bigger and can stand free or is attached to a support like a tower, a
wall, a pole, ...
A clockmaker is dealing with stuff like this:

A watchmaker is dealing with tiny stuff and typically is using lenses to
better see what they are doing:
