recently there is a lot of discussion from newbies(?) here, that seem to
propose new tags and tagging schemes for stuff that is already discussed and
agreed upon and in widespread use.
Please, if you are not familiar with the tagging, look it up in the wiki or ask
for help, but don't continue to propose tags as if we were starting to map just
now.
Like it or not (I don't particularly like it myself) the tag for a museum
(institution) is tourism=museum and the tag building=* always describes a
building typology (save yes/no values) but does itself not describe a function/
service/ institution...
If you want to question these agreements you are free to do so, but please
point out that this would be changing the current scheme, which is defined in
the wiki, deployed as editor presets, well known to many mappers, evaluated by
map renderers and other data consumers, etc.
