Leisure=pitch + sport•=* Its not anout the markinggs - its about dedicated use.
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:leisure%3Dpitch I am not sure about the reservation system - but if it is a dedicated area for sports of any kind, the area is a pitch. If it is just a spot on a park people can reserve for sports or birthday parties or a concert (or similar), it might just be a park with landuse=grass (or landcover=grass). Pitches are used for model airplane fields and other "sports" - so don't let the narrow idea of a sports pitch constrain you - it is for any land dedicated to a leisure "sport" - especially if it is an outdoor field of any kind. It may not have painted lines, but if it is regularly reserved and used for "sports" - its a pitch.
