My thoughts exactly. I merely want to define what a particular pedestrian area
is, not try to redefine it - like footway=sidewalk.
If we want to make pedestrian=plaza or pedestrian=attached_deck (for structures
with adjacent decks) or pedestrian=viewing_platform (to cover warrin's
examples) we are free to.
I'm interested in defining, at the moment, the pedestrian area adjacent to a
pool.
