Well - there is no formal deprecation of tags in OSM, to deprecate a tag in a meaningful way you need to have consensus to not use the tag any more. Before you can however suggest an alternative tagging for a certain tag you need to document this tag - i can't for example tell you if i think route=horse is a sensible alternative to route=riding if i don't know what route=riding means. Looking at your three cases: * the first is not actually in use (probably someone deleted or changed the three cases taginfo lists already). * the other two are apparently used very inconsistently but mostly for subjective 'structuring of geographic space' concepts likely mostly imported from external sources. None of this looks verifiable and therefore does not belong in OSM and should be deleted. Many of these are also relations with other relations as members which is a big no-no in OSM. In other words: These are all issues that should be addressed working on the data. Re-tagging these into something different would just bury the problems between other data. -- Christoph Hormann http://www.imagico.de/ _______________________________________________ Tagging mailing list [email protected] https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/tagging
