    what kind of proofs Warin’s point, because .gov is for US
    government domains while you are not in the US.

But for a counter example :-):

        Australian Embassy in Paris

            Embassy Emails:

     o

                General questions : [email protected]
                <mailto:[email protected]>

     o

                Consular and passport questions:
                [email protected]
                <mailto:[email protected]>

DFAT by the way is the Australian Dept of Foreign Affairs & Trade

And the uk government uses *.gov.uk , The Japanese use *.go.jp, the French use *.gouv.fr

I am certain there are many more examples of this.

And these email addresses and domains are used both locally and internationally.

However in OSM landuse=government does not imply US government everywhere!
