The aim of this key is to tag objects related with avalanche transceiver (AT or
DVA in french) : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avalanche_transceiver
I would like to map two things :
- AT training zone, there are a lot of this (at least in all major europpean
ski resort, see
https://www.chamoniarde.com/en/training-courses/avalanche-search-practice# for
one exemple). The aim of this zone is to let freeriders freely train to use an
AT. To map this, after a discussion on the french telegram group, it has been
proposed training=avalanche_transceiver, to be use for nodes or areas.
- little electronic box called avalanche transceiver checkpoint (see
https://www.hochfuegenski.com/en/ski-resort/freeride/checkpoints/ for
exemple).The aim of those boxes is to check if the AT of the freerider is
working or not.To map this, it has been proposed
checkpoint=avalanche_transceiver to be used for nodes only. In addition, one
could use indoor=yes if the checkpoint is inside a building (which happens when
it's at the arrival point of a cable car).
