Yes, e.g. Amazon Lockers are currently tagged as amenity=parcel_locker. My proposal would suggest them to be tagged as amenity=pickup_point + self_service=yes instead. I have significantly updated my proposal since announcing it here on the list. The Reasoning section outlines why I think Amazon Lockers are better tagged as amenity=pickup_point.
