Would this get around the problem of sea / oceans not being named e.g.: https://www.openstreetmap.org/query?lat=-28.0675&lon=153.4939#map=14/-28.0666/153.4835 , is part of the Coral Sea section of the Pacific Ocean, but comes up as nothing found.
