How to call a method with params ?

JSTL easily calls the get methods of instances in the session/request.

how can a settter be called?

how can a method be called with parameters?
        ex like this?
        <c:out value='${requestScope.var.get(var2)}'
how can this be done with the jakarta taglibs? if at all?
