All those you listed work:
attributesText=""
attributesText="disabled"
attributesText='<%= "" %>'
attributesText='<%= "disabled" %>'

even this works
attributesText="<%= "disabled" %>"

and in addition the following works as well:
attributesText="<%= bean.getAttributes() %>"

But when I have both string constant AND scriplet in attributesText it does not work.
