Hi Zooko, I finally got the setup to complete. I was close to figuring out the problem in my last email. Apparently, I needed to have this version of pycryptopp
http://pypi.python.org/packages/2.5/p/pycryptopp/pycryptopp-0.5.12-py2.5-win32.egg#md5=bbdd90608c6502e3bf981708ad13002e The link you gave me, http://testgrid.allmydata.org:8123/uri/URI%3ADIR2%3Agdhlke5r4244bmzyu3k3otlcjm%3Aunarxv347edtku3xzmefy4mcdmfngxzeb72iyqcadbjzjpczjx5a/index.html didn't include a py2.5 version for windows, and apparently the py2.6 version I downloaded instead was rejected. So, here is the summary: on my Windows Vista system, in many cases I need eggs instead of tars because I don't have a compiler (?), and the url to the eggs I need (on the testgrid, given above) is not in the find_links list in the setup.cfg file I do need to install pywin32 myself first. Although, the test I did to include pywin32 in the install_requires list (_auto_deps.py file) seemed to almost work, except that a module appeared to be missing. Now, I will actually try to use Tahoe. Thanks for your help, John . _______________________________________________ tahoe-dev mailing list [email protected] http://allmydata.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/tahoe-dev
