Hi Andrej, Allmydata.com could definitely be providing better status updates, but unfortunately we don't have as many people working full-time on the production grid as we'd like. On the positive side, we have never lost any data on the production grid though we have had a couple periods of inaccessibility. We should be adding more capacity over the next few weeks to keep ahead of the influx of data, plus we are planning a garbage collection run to free up some more space.
Hope this helps, Peter Andrej Falout wrote: > My questions exactly, David. > > It seems the tweeter feed was chosen to communicate status to customers, > but last message is more puzzling to me then anything, considering the > second week long (and counting) outage in very short time: > > "We are going to be upgrading our storage servers over the next few > weeks and are also planning to release statistics about the grid > health.4:54 PM Nov 5th <http://twitter.com/Allmydata/status/5465542068> > from web" > > ????
