Hello all! This update will cover Least Authority’s work for the Tahoe-LAFS Software Foundation for June 2024.
During this time frame the team was able to work on the following: - Recovery Phrases - Added preliminary/experimental support for non-BIP39 wordlists - Released v0.0.7 “deterministic-keygen” library on crates.io and PyPI - Improved support for non-English wordlists, CJK characters - Improved error-handling and user-facing messages - Added word-completion, language-detection, and phrase-validation functionality - Misc. UI updates (language-selector dropdown, layout improvements) and cross-platform testing (Windows, macOS) - Various integration work with Gridsync (deriving secrets from initial seed, supporting config dir changes, writing tests, etc.) - Port Tahoe-LAFS Mobile to iOS - Obsidian has fixed two issues in their framework for us, a running iOS Build is around the corner™ - Next up is wiring the App internals to iOS - Replacement for the Current Issue Tracking System - Trac (ticket #4095) - Finalizing the scope and the definition of the deliverables in the MoveOffTrac <https://tahoe-lafs.org/trac/tahoe-lafs/wiki/MoveOffTrac> wiki page - Continued work on landing page powered by Jekyll - Repeating and improving export from Trac to Gitea - Testing migration from Gitea to Codeberg (possible bug <https://codeberg.org/Codeberg/Community/issues/1542#issuecomment-2072576> identified) - Other/misc.: - Brought on Obsidian Systems to help provide support on the iOS port of the Tahoe-LAFS mobile app - Worked with Blaise on improvements to onboarding - Testing and reviewing Magic-Folder conflict-detection PR (#752) Additionally, a few hours of our time was spent on project administration and coordination.
