Hello all!

Sorry for the delay in sending out our July update. The following covers
Least Authority’s work for the Tahoe-LAFS Software Foundation for July 2024:

   -

   Recovery Phrases
   -

Misc. UI/integration work with Gridsync (updating recovery flow,
migrating from Recovery Keys to Recovery Phrases, supporting fallback
      behaviors, etc.)
      -

Porting (parts of) Tahoe-LAFS’ “allmydata.util” modules (netstring,
base32, hashutil) to Rust to support “offline” cap restoration via
      deterministic-keygen library (ticket
      <https://github.com/crwood/deterministic-keygen/issues/5>)
      -

Create Tahoe-LAFS Mobile from PrivateStorage Mobile
   -

      Created a wiki page
      <https://tahoe-lafs.org/trac/tahoe-lafs/wiki/TahoeLAFSMobile> with
draft description of Features and Scope for mobile app
      -

      Worked on arbitrary grids functionality
      -

   Port Tahoe-LAFS Mobile to iOS
   -

Continuing to work with Obsidian on IOS build issues
      -

Replacement for the Current Issue Tracking System - Trac (ticket #4095)
   -

Improving the implementation of the new landing page (pilot and
      mockup with feedback)
      -

Improving the migration from Trac to Gitea (tooling, instructions and
      user mapping)
      -

Testing the migration from Gitea to Codeberg/Forgejo (possible bug
      discovered)
      -

   Other/misc.:
   -

Working with Blaise on improvements to onboarding and documentation
      -

Steps towards re-including Tahoe-LAFS in Debian

Additionally, a few hours of our time was spent on project administration
and coordination.

Please let us know if you have any questions or comments.
