Hello Tahoe-LAFS, November saw some continued work on Magic Wormhole "Seeds", trying some practical "PoC" level implementation and considerations of the mailbox protocol. Review of some older PRs and specification work.
Tahoe-LAFS had some concrete use-cases discussed in two of the Nuts and Bolts session this month, for a user interested in an online Wiki. This led to much discussion of WASM and the (security) implications of the browser environment. A new ZFEC release (with 2x speed improvement from Itamar) at the expense of not supporting older processors. Spurred on by a PR to introduce QR codes to the Python magic-folder CLI, I reviewed and played around with all available mobile clients (and some non-mobile ones) to review what support is available. The Fowl project had some progress on better support for non-localhost connections, listeners and policy.
