Well, according to https://labs.riseup.net/code/issues/6227#note-39 , Tails developer "intrigeri" wrote "Anyone interested in pushing this further, see comment 20 on this very ticket :)". Comment 20 is https://labs.riseup.net/code/issues/6227#note-20 , which is my description of how Tahoe-LAFS could be useful for Tails users. So I think that means that the next step is for some Tails users to install Tahoe-LAFS and attempt to use it in the ways described in Comment 20, and then post a comment on https://labs.riseup.net/code/issues/6227 saying that they used it and whether it worked for them.
