A cool solution would be to refer to the relevant target definition
instead of the directory as the parent.  We can thus infer from this
the directory, and also ordering.

I thought that something that could even be done later, is threading
the import of branches.  The dependency and branchpoint information
could then be used to decide when to start branch threads.

However, that could also interfere with import of branch merges, but
after all maybe not :)
