hi,

first, sorry about that i just discovered this list, i originally wrote
directly to Lele :)

i've hit a problem during converting a darcs repo to a git one

there are two small repos:

http://darcs.frugalware.org/repos/frugalware/ (18 patches)

this contains tags, too and tailor properly converts it

the other one:

http://darcs.frugalware.org/repos/pacman-tools/ (658 patches)

when tailor converts this, it fails at the first tag:

http://frugalware.org/~vmiklos/logs/tailor-tag.log

it seems that git tag fails. i was not sure if stderr is redirected to
/dev/null or just git tag fails silently so i went to the dir and typed
the same command manually, i got "you are not in a git repo".. :S

i'm not sure about if this is really the problem or just i'm a bit lame
and there are some problems. and of course the most annoying is that i
don't know what is the difference between the two repos: one works, the
other is not :S

ps: i've run dr check on the repo in case it would be corrupted but it
says the repo is consistent

thanks,
VMiklos
