Hi, I tried to compare the fingerprint of Tails 0.17 and TBB 2.3.25-4 and I think I found a pretty serious regression regarding the user-agent.
Until now Tails 0.16 was presenting the same user-agent as TBB:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:10.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/10.0
But now Tails 0.17 presents a different one:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:17.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/17.0
Can someone else confirm that this is reproducible and unexpected? If
so, I'll create a ticket and update the "known issues" pages accordingly.
I'm a bit disappointed this happened for Tails 0.17 now that we included
a check on the fingerprint in the release process. Was the confusion
created by the fact that I put it in the wrong place until recently?
Otherwise there might be other things to that need to be fixed.
