on the grounds that this would 1. save quite some time to release
managers; 2. make it easier for people not Debian packaging-savvy
to contribute to Tails Installer, persistent assistant, etc.; and
3. would be a first step towards linking more strongly the state of
our main repo with the state of the external repos we're building
.deb's from, especially once combined with #7036 ("Manage custom
software as Git submodules or similar").
