The string in question is: « The selected device does not have a Tails installation, it is required for the upgrade process. » I'd rather say: « The destination device is not a Tails device. You can only upgrade an already installed Tails device. » We're in the process of rethinking the terminology around Tails devices and the installation process. For example we might stop saying "devices" at some point. But right now the strings in Tails Installer are quite a mess so let's not be too picky and stick with what's currently used in the code.
