Hi, so I finally read this thread, after having already learned via XMPP that the release schedule was changed and that my plans will not work out the way I thought they would. I too somehow thought that this thread would not be relevant to me. I thought that the releases for the first half of 2018 were already fixed, since we already had them in https://tails.boum.org/contribute/calendar/. Maybe a subject like "Modified release schedule for 2018" would have helped me to realize that this concerns me.
