security and data protection.
With, ofcourse a bios password set.
And with no cd/dvd player built in, we have no other choice than boot
from hdd with grub2 toram

Yes (mostly for usage in virtual machines).
We have more and more notebooks with blocked usb ports, so we still need to
boot tails.iso from grub2.
Just curious: can you elaborate on "blocked usb ports"?
