When Electrum was working and when it is working in tails again. Tails seemed like a nice way for many people to use bitcoin securely and anonymously. Alot of my clients like to use tails for my electrum server because it is easy to use. The issue is that I cannot recommend tails to people until it is trusted. It is true that techy geeks can compile tails from source code. but I thought tails was trying to cater to anyone that needs privacy without needing to be a computer scientist.
I am aware there was some talks to make tails verified it came from source code by reproducible builds. If this was it then any modification to tails that is not from source code would be detected by someone. Trust should not be depend on the people at tails project that make the iso file. I respect all the work people at tails project do. But our motto should be "Dont trust. Verify" What status is it for the reproducible builds? _______________________________________________ Tails-dev mailing list [email protected] https://www.autistici.org/mailman/listinfo/tails-dev To unsubscribe from this list, send an empty email to [email protected].
