From what I understand. The USB stick that you created using Tails Installer doesn't boot on your laptop but boots on your desktop. If so, then it might really be a problem with UEFI support. If you already tried to disable UEFI and to force legacy boot, and if this doesn't work either, then I'll add your laptop model to the list of problematic hardware. Note that an ISO image to test UEFI support have been released and it would be interesting for your to test it and report back your findings.
