Thanks Mercedes.  You are a rockstars for replying to me.

I’m installing a USB drive with TAILS and UBUNTU.  I plan to boot a machine off 
of the USB drive and into TAILS.  Then format the hard drive and install Ubuntu.

Here is why they said that they need to replace initrd.gz, ldlinux.sys, mbr.bin 
in tails to make this work.   Is there anyway around this?
