As you might already know, Tails includes TrueCrypt only for backward compatibility [1] and we are not actively maintain it. So I don't think that we will fix this issue. As a workaround I suggest you to change your password to avoid those problematic characters. If you store it in KeePassx, you can make it very long and very secure with the need for special characters. Please also consider migrating to LUKS encrypted volumes [2].
