Hi,
I finally got Tails to boot from a USB stick.
I was hoping that when I set up a Persistent Volume, that it would save
the configuration to access the network. I did click on network when
doing so.
But this does not seem to be happening. If it is possible to save the
configuration, what do I have to do to accomplish that?
FYI: my problems getting a bootable USB stick were twofold.
When I tried to use the universal installer, it appears that the Comodo
firewall, and possibly also the Avira virus checker, were interfering.
I have a Gigabyte motherboard RP45-UD3P. I naively thought that to boot
from USB stick I should choose USB-HDD or some other USB option after
pressing F12. I was wrong.
I have to choose Hard Disk, and when I click on that it includes the
option of booting from the USB stick and that works.
Enabling Legacy USB may also have been necessary.
