I'm using the default install from Arch GNU/Linux, "pacman -S virtualbox" so Im guessing the open source one. but dont take me 100% on this yet. The persistance volume worked the first times I booted it on virtualbox, but the last time it did not give me the option to mount it, I still have not looked into the issue. but I think is related to removing the live-media= option so I may need to investigate some more, with the kernel boot up options because I want to be able to not just boot Tails into VirtualBox but also have persistance working 100%. I may be able to work with you if you need testing/help
