Would I blow off those > purposes too? when you access a USB device in a VM, at least on a debian, using libvirt-QEMU, the Host OS doesn't have access to that device in the same time. I think it is rather different than accessing the Hard-Drive on which the host OS is installed, especially if you are fearing spywares on that host. cheers.
