Dear Tails experts I am a newbie with Tails (though I like it a lot). I can manage a bit, with Ubuntu and Debian.
I need help with the following problem: although I have configured the persistence, so that "apt packages installed with Synaptic will remain between system restarts", this is not the case. When I install a package (for example, kleoptra), and then I shut down, and then restart the system - it does not recognize the package, and I have to re-install. A "Persistent" file system does exist, and, for example, it does remember the Iceweasel browser bookmarks. Your help will be appreciated. Shreela I am still running Tails 0.23 (afraid to upgrade, since the last time I have upgraded (system on a usb drive), it would not start - was issuing error messages, turned out a bug in the upgrade package).
