Hi,
Firstly, please bare with me as I'm a newbie when it comes to Linux and very
much feeling my way.So far I have tried several distros from a commercial DVD
that came with a magazine and then installed Linux Mint on my
Medion-Akoya-E6239 laptop beside Windows 8.1.  The Mint installation was from a
downloaded image, burned to DVD and then used to boot and install on the hard
disc.I wanted to try Tails and had hoped I'd get a bit further that the DVD not
booting - before reaching the limit of my ability!
So far I have downloaded the tails-i386-2.2.1.iso file twice.  Both times I
used Firefox in Mint with your addon used to verify the integrity of the files.
I then tried one burn to DVD in Windows and then three more in Mint.  All have
failed to create a disc which is automatically listed on the boot list in the
UEFI.  I have no idea what to do next.  I can get access to the grub command,
but have no idea how to boot the disc manually....  So any help would be great.
In answer to as many as possible of the questions on your web page:
No, I've never started Tails on this machine before.
I have no other machines on which to try the discs I've created.
I haven't tried any other media as I am hoping the DVD will be the route to a
USB stick.
Hope this helps you help me.
Many thanks,Mark
