Hi, I’ve used previous tails versions many times (not recently) booting from optical disk without difficulty. I have never been able to get it to work from USB. I will describe my current attempt in some detail.
The computer is an almost new System 76 Sable running Ubuntu 16.04. I downloaded tails-i386-2.5.iso and installed Tails Installer. Then plugged in a new Duracell 8GB memory still. The stick mounded and I closed the resulting window. Ran Installer and got this output: tails-i386-2.5.iso selected Unmounting mounted filesystems on '/dev/sde' Clearing unreadable partition table. Partitioning device /dev/sde GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownMethod: No such interface 'org.freedesktop.UDisks2.Partition' on object at path /org/freedesktop/UDisks2/block_devices/sde1 Tails installation failed! g-dbus-error-quark: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownMethod: No such interface 'org.freedesktop.UDisks2.Partition' on object at path /org/freedesktop/UDisks2/block_devices/sde1 (19) Closed Installer. Removed memory stick. It does not mount or produce any other response when plugged in and does not show in Gparted. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated. _______________________________________________ tails-support mailing list tails-support@boum.org https://mailman.boum.org/listinfo/tails-support To unsubscribe from this list, send an empty email to tails-support-unsubscr...@boum.org.
