It's not possible to connect to an FTP server through Tails. We have a ticket about this issue: https://labs.riseup.net/code/issues/6096 One can only connect to servers which use SFTP (because that's FTP over SSH and that's perfectly possible over Tor). There is no need to use a 3rd party program to do this. It's simply done through the file browser itself. When you open "Home" from the desktop, you'll see a little link on the left menu "Connect to server". There you can enter the server address you want to connect to, for example "sftp://server.example.com" and then you'll be asked for a user name and password. When you connect to such a server, login and password will make you identifiable in any case. But using Tails, all your network connections go through Tor. So only the location from where you do the upload will be hidden. Cheers! u. _______________________________________________ tails-support mailing list [email protected] https://mailman.boum.org/listinfo/tails-support To unsubscribe from this list, send an empty email to [email protected].
