They'll ask you to submit a complete bug report, that will include info about your hardware, that should help them help you :) I suspect they'll also ask you to pinpoint what exact option added by the "failsafe" (sic) mode workarounds the problem. It's likely that one single option is enough, which would allow you to workaround this problem, without suffering from the graphics support degradation.
