Hi,

I'm using Tails 2.9.1

I made the DVD and copied it to a USB Flash drive, then it stopped
booting, the desktop couldn't see it to start with, then it wouldn't
let me go into BIOS at all.  So I couldn't tell the Desktop to to
boot from anything except the hard drive.

So I decided to format the flash drive,  which was a disaster.  My
16GB flash drive was reduced to 2.3GB  - but then I thought there
must be a way to restore my flash drives to their original state, and
there is.  Diskpart is the command to use in Windows command prompt.

Then I thought 'bugger it'   I'll concentrate of getting my Laptop
running Tails.  Both my laptop and desktop are 64 bit capable,
running windows 7 and 10 respectively.  However once I copied Tails
to the flash drive a second time I found the Laptop would only
sometimes see the Flash drive, but always lets me enter BIOS, and
always sees the DVD drive.  Now I have to have the DVD in to boot
from and the Flash drive there to store persistent files.  Oh and
Tails always sees WIFI and always connects, remembering  the
password.

Why none of this works on my Desktop I have no idea, but at least I
can still boot Windows 10.

_____________

Yours sincerely

Graeme

 Hi,

After booting Tails, could you please execute the following
commandline
 in a terminal (Applications → Utilities →Terminal):

lspci -nn | grep -i network

You might be having this issue depending on your hardware:

 Cheers.
