Hello Tails, My name is Richard Finkelstein. I am trying to install the latest version of Tails (2.9) on my MacBook Pro. While I am able to burn it onto a disc, I fail to to start it on my Mac. Once I restart my laptop, I hold the Alt key and the window disc, but the screen goes black after I select it, but nothing more really.
The last time I had attempted to use Tails, it was the 2.5 version and I was able to successfully load it on my MacBook through the disc despite problems trying to get it on a USB stick. Now when I try it, I am not able to get it started it all. My MacBook is the mid-2012 model and I am aware that earlier versions have problems with Tails. Is my version now too late with this updated Tails program? Or is there another way, because I notice that my drive goes silent after a time being, which may mean that it is no longer reading the disc properly. I burned Tails onto the disc at a slow speed in an attempt to avoid this problem, but is there anything else I could do? Thank you for your time and I appreciate your time and effort in this program. Please help at your convenience. Take care. Sincerely, Richard Finkelstein Sent from my iPhone _______________________________________________ tails-support mailing list [email protected] https://mailman.boum.org/listinfo/tails-support To unsubscribe from this list, send an empty email to [email protected].
